I apologize if this has been touched on elsewhere. I've searched and can't find it anywhere.
We were playing last week and several people with lucky clovers insisted that because the rules say that bunnies with clovers 'may survive' the asteroid strike (12 attack), it means that they don't even have to roll. This seems insane to me, as they would have said 'will survive' or 'are safe' or something like that. 'May survive' seems to indicate a chance rather than a certainty.
Is this the commonly accepted way of interpreting it?

We were playing last week and several people with lucky clovers insisted that because the rules say that bunnies with clovers 'may survive' the asteroid strike (12 attack), it means that they don't even have to roll. This seems insane to me, as they would have said 'will survive' or 'are safe' or something like that. 'May survive' seems to indicate a chance rather than a certainty. Is this the commonly accepted way of interpreting it? This has been covered before, here and here. The reason the card says "clover bunnies may survive" is that if there are sufficient clover attached to the bunny, it may (as in might) if the roll is high enough and the clover are sufficiently numerous. - Example: Opponent's Bunny with 10 clover and opponent rolls a 4. Weapon Level 12 - 10 Clover means that a roll higher than 2 is necessary. With the roll of 4 (which is higher than 2), the bunny survives.
- Example: Opponent's Bunny with 2 clover and opponent rolls an 8. Weapon Level 12 - 2 Clover means that a roll higher than 10 is necessary. With the roll of 8 (which is not higher than 10), the bunny dies.
Because it depends on the specifics of the Clover and the roll, a bunny may (or could) survive.
