Do any of you ever abduct your own bunny? When your outgunned and outnumbered it's a good strategy to abduct yourself. Because you can still play Choose-a-Carrot cards while your only bunny is in space.
Then just concentrate on getting carrots, money and cards like Supplies Surprise that can be played without a bunny down.
With a large group of players, any bunny placed down has a low chance of surviving when everyone gets done playing.

It's a very good strategy...but you have to watch out for other abduction cards...and the dreaded H.E.M.P.! I've seen space ship parts land on a platoon of bunnies once...enough to make me think twice about chillin' w/ the aliens for to long...just my two cents... *BB01*

The thing about abducting a bunny is that most people don't know the fine print...so usually you can use it to extort people.
Abductin my own bunny...I think I have done that once, though only to complete a trade.

Hahaha, HEMP, I don't think I've seen anyone actually use that in any of our games...

For real, how often does HEMP actually work and how many cards are out there that can disable/eliminate HEMP? It's just a good cushion when your playing, if someone Plutonium's all your bunnies and you had the 'Choose 3 Carrots' card in your top run, you're still good. In the beginning of the game, abducting one of your bunnies isn't always a bad thing. Now, Mothershipping your bunnies is just stupid, unless you have alot of bunnies, and you hold on to the Bunnies in Black until the opportune moment then have a family reunion and invite certain irrascible cheeseballs.

My wife, 100% of the time, will use Area 51 to abduct her own bunny, because she realizes that her husband, and the 7 & 9 yr. olds who inherited their memory ability from their father, will forget about it. . . . <sigh > Bufo3000

We've only been using the Red Booster for a week or so now and I have seen HEMP 'work' once...the other time it was a dud...luck of the roll I guess...I prefer to be on the ground launching Nukes and wacking people with the Crow Bar Just my two cents... *BB01*

Abducting your own bunny can be useful when the roaming weapons come out - you can save at least one of your bunnies from cyber bunny/ebola with it. I think I've done that. One of us Melbunnies has at some point anyway, can't exactly remember who, but it turned out OK. Of course, if you also have the HEMP card you'll feel safer about it, and if you can grab another aliens card to then play on someone else to get your own bunnies back later .... sweeeeeeeeet! Mind you, any of my local cohorts seeing me poking my nose into a strategy forum will laugh their tails off! ~Vic

Abducting your own bunny works great if you can do it early on in the game. Then, the other players tend to forget about it. The other night, a friend gave us the Red expansion deck as an early CHristmas gift. Of course, we had to play. SOmewhere in the game, I had several bunnies down. My husband got one abducted then used the HEMP on me, too. Needless to say, my abducted bunny was apparently probed just a bit too much, made the ship explode and kill all of my others.

I'll admit, I'm pretty new to KB, and I've only played three games (all last night -- until about 1:30 this morning!). All three games, I abducted my own bunny. My reasoning was that it would pretty much ensure I'd have a bunny at the end of the game, right?
The person I was playing mostly forgot about it, except for in the second game, when they got HEMP (which reminded them about my bunny). They rolled just well enough to kill my abducted bunny and my 10 others in play! (He did say he felt bad for killing all my bunnies, though.)

Do any of you ever abduct your own bunny? When your outgunned and outnumbered it's a good strategy to abduct yourself. Because you can still play Choose-a-Carrot cards while your only bunny is in space. We e-mailed JB about using Choose-a-Carrot cards if the only bunny you had was being probed. If I'm correct, and I may not be since this was a while back, he told us that you CANNOT use the CaC cards at that point. You must have other bunnies down.

I abducted my own bunny right at the end of the game. I only had 1 bunny and wanted to guarantee being in the draw for the magic carrot.

If it is getting close to the end of the game, it is a good strategy. If you only have one bunny down and are afraid that it may be killed or taken away by the winning Zodiac card, it is a good strategy.

It's not a bad strategy at any point during the game, especially if you have the HEMP card.
