If I was to make and release a full Killer Bunnies mod for Tabletop Simulator on Steam, do you think it would help Killer Bunnies as a game by raising awareness thus raising sales because playing irl is better, or would hurt it as a game by providing the potential to play the game without owning it irl?

Well, I think you'd run afoul of copyright issues unless you work with Playroom Entertainment on a licensing agreement. So, your effort would be wasted.

Yeah, I was wondering about that. I noticed there are some incomplete mods for KB in TS. I might just make the mod just play with friends but never release it. That way I can play when not together with my friends irl.

Naturally, I could attempt to form some sort of agreement, but I highly doubt they would be interested considering the mod would only indirectly have the potential to make them money.

I have received permition from Jeff to release Killer Bunnies mods on Tabletop Simulator. Quote in response to an email on the topic: "as far as the simulator game go online, I personally have never played it. But you are absolutely correct we believe as a group that anything killer bunnies can be considered free advertising. In addition, your instincts are again correct… We do not believe it will hurt sales at all. Just the opposite, we believe it will increase exposure and sales." The mod is released and is near complete (still need Conquest Violet to come back in stock and naturally it doesn't have Fantastic or Caramel yet). I have also released a version with all the fan cards from this website so people can enjoy playing with those as well. I have also released a completed Jupiter mod for the very small community that happens to enjoy it. Enjoy fellow Killer Bunnies enthusiasts, and let me know if anything is missing or you think I should add anything

I'd be very down to play the simulator I just have no idea how to get the Tabletop Simulator. From what I've gathered it's on Steam? I also don't know anything about Steam. Would I have to have an account with Steam in order to buy the Tabletop Simulator and the mod for KB? I'd love to play I just don't know where to get started.

You would need an account on Steam which is free to make. Tabletop Simulator costs $20 normally, but if you wait till Winter sale you can probably get it for $10 (however it is quite worth full price considering the games you can access with it). You can find a Steam gift card at Walmart or any similar store. After you get the game, you can find all the mods for it in the steam workshop (you get to this through the Tabletop Simulator store page and then community hub) At that point it's just a matter of Subscribing to the mod to download it (All mods are free btw) and then you can access it in game and should be able to host a game with it (preferably play with other people you know because playing with random strangers on Tabletop Simulator tends not to be a good experience). If you do get Tabletop Simulator on Steam you can add me as a friend and I'd be glad to show you around the mod and play it with you.

For anyone interested, my Tabletop Simulator mod for Killer Bunnies now has a discussion thread to describe interesting strategies and scenarios that players have discovered. I figured this would be more accessible to more people considering magiccarrot isn't very well known or active these days. Enjoy!
