Has anyone considered making house rules to be able to combine Quest and Jupiter? For example, combining all the carrots making the Jupiter map a fancier "choose a Carrot" method, restocking the markers when all are collected (and of course keeping all "choose a Carrot" methods from quest in, making the map just another alternative method). Then at the end of the game the "Jupiter" carrots are lost if no bunny in space, but the rest of the carrots just need a bunny in the circle. The biggest problem I anticipate would be increased game length from adding 10 (in theory eventually 20) more carrots to the game and increased turn length from potential space turns. It might also be seen as either too slow to be relevant for gaining carrots normally or OP if one player is uncontested in space. However, it could make things more interesting as well. Does anyone think this would work?

Does anyone think this would work? I've inquired about making fan rules for just Jupiter and I've had rather little interest from the members of the Magic Carrot Message Board. From what I can tell, Jupiter is not very popular. However, don't let that discourage you. In spite of the disinterest from the message board members, I'm working on a set of Jupiter fan rules with a couple of friends in my area, which includes a new game board. But progress has been slow because it is a low priority for all three of us.

I'd probably never attempt it either because of the work it would require to take all the Jupiter cards out if it didn't work very well, or if it did work well then teaching the game to new players gets even more difficult with all the Jupiter concepts to explain along with Quest. It might be really fun to combine them though if I formed a group of friends that are also hardcore (or somewhat hardcore) Killer Bunnies players, but this will probably never happen.

I hope your rules make it faster! Maybe allow trades of unused cards from your hand to rez discarded bunnies or ships.

It would require that you own the game, but it would remove and repurpose existing game elements. We playtested it on New Years Day, but according to my playtesters it needs more work. And, like I indicated before, this is a very low-priority hobby project for me.

Gld to see there is some thought about it. I have been playing a few different games of late and after a conversation with a friend about KB in general, I got to thinking about why no one plays this game, and I decided to do an attempt at an overhaul to see if I can make it into something that people would want to play. Something unique!

Something unique! I think a main issue was that it always was somewhat incomplete with the last boosters never coming out. This will be fixed soon I've heard.

Definately incomplete, but it still should be a functional and enjoyable game without them, and it isn't really. (and we have been waiting ten years for the other booster pack.)
