No big surprises here: issuu.com/jessicaeyler/docs/2012catalogGood info about the Conquest Red and Purple boosters, J2J expansion, and the Psychic Penguins game. Conquest Red's Senator cards should be interesting, they look like they're play immediately's like metals/money. A little disappointed that at least Red Hypnotic copies Red from Quest with the 3 money/turn, but I suppose it makes sense. Definitely excited for Conquest expansions. Thoughts?

No surprises, but at the same time, some encouraging facts.
First off, the long awaited Jupiter expansion is actually printed right there in the catalogue. We might even actually get it this year.
Secondly, they're making an effort to remerchandise their product. The Quest Big Box seems like a push to get the game in to stores in a way that takes up less shelf space, while making Conquest an expansion all of its own to this newly packed game.
Next, you see that playroom aren't advertising an E-deck for Odyssey, instead, opting for the Heroes and Villains starter. This is a logical choice. The original launch was botched, failing to get out there and make a splash, and most gaming groups and stores I've been to around the US and Canada don't even know about the game, let alone stock or consider playing it (which is a shame.) Playroom recently got a new big-time distributor so we might see Killer Bunnies taking a more prevalent position in local gaming stores. When you couple this with the new plush and vinyl toys, it also looks like they're having a bit of a merchandising push to raise awareness.
The hex-tiles in the Psychic Penguins game look like an interesting little feature. Wonder how they work. They have the symbols from the Odyssey decks on them. Gives more credibility to my previous idea of it running similar to the Odyssey C-Decks Penguin teleporter system.
Also, Frozen Fish Sticks counteract Feed the Penguin cards. This looks to be a Killer Bunnies game in every sense of the word.

My question is: why isn't the Playroom 2012 catalog available on Playroom's web site? They still have the 2011 catalog up there.
[Call me cynical, but I imagine the marketing answer is: the issuu.com site requires registration to download the catalog, so they can add your contact info as "interested".]

Depends if there is anything impressive as a cheeky extra in the box.

Is anyone who already has Quest thinking of buying the entire set? I'll certainly be looking at it. If any of the rules on the cards or the cards' names have changed (as they did between the various promo sets and the Chocolate Booster), then I want to know those. We can always give away our original sets to someone who hasn't bought the game yet.
