OK. Played a game tonight and one player was told twice not to get the cards dirty.
First time, OK, give him a friendly reminder to make sure hands are relatively clean. I cut him a bit of slack coz he doesn't play that often.
Second time, can clearly see a mark on the card from melted chocolate on the fingers. I'm squirming in my chair and I have to let out another comment about not mucking them up. Geez, I'm starting to feel a little like the Mom in this group. BUT, what if that was an original Bunnies Eleven, or Go With The Flo.
What sort of punishment should be dealt out in a situation like this? I was thinking uppercuts. Multiple. For the next hour.
Is violence the answer? Or should I have the UN impose sanctions first?
Whaddaya think?

We use card sleeves, which are thin clear plastic, to protect the cards from handling like that. We also removed all of the rare cards from our playable set.

My roommate ruined a few of my cards. Nothing to do but not let him play anymore I guess. I like the idea of sleeves, I may have to do that. Does Playroom replace individual cards?

Adding a card sleeve is a good idea. Do they make them the same size as the cards?
And how much extra storage room would it require if all 700 cards are sleeved? My storage box is overflowing as it is.

After having a beer spillage destroy my Battlestar Galactica board game I've sleeved all my cards. Depending on what brand you use it does make them take up more space. I prefer the Mayday Games card game sized sleeves. They are thinner and cheaper than Fantasy Flight Games(which are good, but I just use them for the board games). They are a little slick until you use them a few times. And it makes shuffling a breeze.
edit: sorry if the above was off topic.
As far as punishment, I hold my KB games and cards as one of my top 5 prized possessions so I hate to think the horrific things that I would inflict on the poor soul who dares mess up one of my cards.

I have a house rule. No liquids on the same table as killer bunnies.

When our game box started to over flo (pun intended), we used a shoebox from LLbean, cut out the sides of the original box, and stored everything in there.
