soooooooooooooooooo................. it's cold and snowy, but luckily we were able to greet this winter prepared, and armed with all the booster decks! </happy_dance> but then, after several rounds of poverty poker and random FTB's . . . we started to wonder . . . within our wide network of friends, why is it that no one has such a complete understanding of this magical carrot-y game? we've tried teaching it to them before . . . but that just means two intensely painful hours of . . . pain. so what is the best method to work around this? endure those dreaded hours, or just lend them the instruction manual(s)? or find new friends? 00

New friends is the easiest, probably. I find that some people just don't enjoy this game. That's fine. Make sure you're reading this link that explains how to teach someone the game: killerbunnies.com/?p=242I think that the way in which you teach someone can radically alter how they view the game. I also play very easy on people when they're playing for the first time. I do a lot of different things that I wouldn't necessarily do also to show them that they can do that (playing special cards directly from my hand, for example, isn't some I do often, but I do show them).
