Soooo, does anyone else think that Journey to Jupiter is awesome and brilliant and kickass but has one slight problem...
Whenever we play, somebody always seems to end up with nothing.
Thankfully, after further examination of the preview, all this is set to change.
Darth Ostrich's Spacemart -
10 dolla for a holographic bunny 10 dolla for a ship (I assume from the discard pile) Ship modifications at the cost of the modification level (I think this is the number in the little pink box at the side)
The game comes with 5 holo-bunnies and 3 engine boosters which can only be bought through the store.
So what does this mean for the game? Well, it's now easier to get a hold of the most crucial items in the game (bunnies and ships) and easier to make your ship awesome. This should speed the game up and make for some epic space battles! Good times!
What do y'all think?

I'm very very very VERY pumped for Ultra Violet to hurry up and come out. I do love J2J from the very bottom of my heart, but it does take a LONG time to play, and there always seems to be those one or two players who just die and the beginning and never can make a recovery. So with that said, I am extremely looking forward to Mr. Darth Ostrich's space mart! (and everything else too.)

(and everything else too.) I am definitely looking forward to it as well. We changed the rules a bit to Jupiter to fit our group better. We love the game, except for the extremely useless ground cards. This game is meant to have much of the time spent in space, but so many cards bog down your hand that there is a good chance you can spend most of the game sitting on the sidelines while others are roaming around freely picking up carrots. So we eliminated many of the ground based cards that get in the way: - All but the 3 toughest ground weapons (the ones that can hit more than one bunny). - All feed the bunnies (not sustain the bunnies, we left them in for obvious purposes) We are considering converting some of them to sustains as well. - Half the charmed quarks (make up for the loss of weapons). - Because it is easier to get bunny triplets this way, we eliminated the rule that you take two space turns along with playing two cards. We felt it is just too powerful for a player to have over the others. That took out about 20 cards or so and really opened up the game to take place in space where it should. It really made for a much more epic feel to the game as we all really duked it out, knowing we could get more ships into space pretty quick if the ones that were there should die. We loved it and will probably keep the change even with the new expansion.

That's a nice adaptation! See how long it took me to reply to this? It's because I had no idea you'd said anything. I'll be trying out your variant in our next game.
