This is just a chart to show how much gain in power you get as you increase in level. Red, Black, and Pink are just guesses, based on the pattern. % over % over previous d6 base d6 --------- --------- d8 33.3% 33.3% d10 25.0% 66.7% d12 20.0% 100.0% d16 33.3% 166.7% d20 25.0% 233.3% d24 20.0% 300.0% d32 33.3% 433.3%

The pink die will be a d30.
How do I know? Because cards like DNA Resequencing says to pick a number from 1 to 30.

I believe your methodology is wrong. The increase in the number of sides is not what determines the die's power - its the expected (or average) value that the die gives you when you roll it. I would calculate the power increases like so: Die | Avg Result | % Inc over previous | % Inc over d6 | d6 | 3.5 | --- | --- | d8 | 4.5 | 28.57 | 28.57 | d10 | 5.5 | 22.22 | 57.14 | d12 | 6.5 | 18.18 | 85.71 | d16 | 8.5 | 30.77 | 142.86 | d20 | 10.5 | 23.53 | 200 | d24 | 12.5 | 19.05 | 257.14 | d30 | 15.5 | 24 | 342.86 |
