So, last Wednesday I got my copy of JtJ in the mail and I would like to first say how great I find this game to be. The gameplay is more exciting than ever and the ability to choose how long the game plays out is an excellent way to bring in casual players. I've only played the game a couple times so far, but I'm already wondering when the Laser Red Booster is coming out.
Although, what has been really bugging me since I've looked at all the cards are what Sci-Fi shows/movies some of the cards have been referencing. I'm sure some naturally know what most/all of the cards are referring to; my biggest problem has been the orange and the purple bunnies. I've figured out Blue Bunnies/Ships: Star Trek TNG; Yellow Bunnies/Ships: Star Wars and Green Bunnies/Ships: Lost in Space (the original TV show). Thanks for your help!

Purple - Space: 1999 Orange - Battlestar Galactica
White ships in Red Deck - 2001 Space Odyssey.
I think it would be cool to compile a list of all sci-fi references on cards, from Bender Carrot to Johnny 5 Weapons.

Also the white bunnies in the starter are from Buck Rogers, IIRC.

I'd like to see the Planet Express and Nimbus ships at some point.

Flax Energy Net (065) is from Farscape, although the Oogie Boogie reference is cool too. Notice the necklace it is wearing. That's the Leviathon from Quest, which was called Moya. The Farscape ship was a Leviathon-class ship, named Moya.
Cosmic Calamity! (087) Alien(s)
Hot Chicks (135) Dude, Where's My Car?
Quantum Hop (154) Quantum Leap
Four Kritons (042) I have three of the four figured out: the one in the middle is Jon Crichton from Farscape. The one on the right is Kryten from Red Dwarf. The robot in the back is Crichton from Buck Rogers. I don't know who the other guy is.
Place the Minilith (138). Is there a reference here? It's the monolith from Space Odyssey, but the background is the same as a Mystery Place in Quest.
Cigarette-Smoking Bunny (039) Cigarette-Smoking Man from XFiles

Regarding 'Place the Minilith': -Maybe they went cheap on the art. I assumed the frozen landscape was Europa. Europa was ice in 2001, and melted in 2010 when Jupiter turned into a star. Hal was told to transmit the message, "All these worlds are yours except for Europa. Attempt no landings there." At the end of 2010, there's a monolith on (thawed) Europa.
Great Catch on Flax Energy Net. I was wondering what the heck the dragon necklace was.

Shows how young the J2J players are! The first Kryton (which is actually the first one I identified once I saw the card) is from the Star Trek (The Original Series) episode "Elaan Of Troyius" (which is a thinly disguised Helen of Troy story). See this link. Thanks for filling me in on who the other Kritons were!

A friend of mine got J2J not too long ago. In short, it is awesome! I can't wait to get my own copy. Great references, although I'll admit that a lot of them were lost on me. I'm more into Horror than Sci-Fi. Maybe the next KB game will be something like Killer Bunnies: A Carrot on Elm Street...

Looks-wise, Zachary Quinto (from Heroes) is a perfect match for young Spock. The trailer makes the movie look very promising. Here's to hoping it doesn't fail miserably!
