We had another crazy game list night that I have to tell you guys about….
Trina (my wife) and I shuffled in the violet booster pack so now we have 4 decks of cards (blue, yellow, green, violet). Well in my first 7 cards I got dealt $6 in my hand and a ½ price coupon to Rooneys Market. So I placed the ½ price coupon down as my very first top run card with the hopes of being able to buy (4) defense cards on my first real turn. Trina plays and then its my turn. I play the ½ price coupon from my top run and then draw my replacement card – well I ended up drawing another $18 off the top of the deck! (yes, I shuffled good – every other $ was a difference color card.) So Now I have $24 on my first turn with a ½ price coupon to Rooneys. So there is a total of (12) defense cards at $3 each = $36, but with a ½ price coupon it only costs $18. So I ended up buying all the defense cards on my FIRST TURN and then I spend the rest on (1) Cabbage and (1) Water!
We then play for a few more rounds and Trina plays new prices on the Kaballa Market ($1 water, $2 Cabbage, $10 Carrot) Hoping she can buy up all the water. Well by this time I got the Red Gleeful bunny ($3 extra per turn) to my top run card and I had some extra Dolla’s saved, so then I bought up all the water… And then I started trying to buy all the Cabbage… She told me that if she was a child - she would throw a tamtrum about now.......
We then play for a few more rounds and I end up with ALL the defense cards, ALL the water (but 2) and ALL the cabbage! Trina now has about 10 Carrots and I have 9 Carrots, hence there is only one left! But play wise Trina is struggling to try to keep one bunny on the table while I have 3-5 bunnys. Then she plays “Low Jack Kojak” on me which she takes one of my carrots and I’m forced to return the rest of them to Kabballa’s Market. BUMMER… but on my very next turn I play the “Carrot Tax” (I forget the real name of the card) card on her and she is forced to pay $2/carrot she has and since she has no money, she also has to return all the carrots to the Kaballa market!
So now here we sit an hour later basically starting the game over with me still having ALL the defense cards, ALL the water (but 2) and ALL the cabbage…. And Trina probably has 10 Saved special cards in front of her.
We probably played for another 2 hours because the game just wouldn’t end since we basically had to collect all the carrots AGAIN. And somehow I beat our record for the most bunnies controlled by one player: (12) bunnys with (4) different types of triple bunny sets…
What a crazy game……
