Another fine use for Bunny on the Edge of Forever. 1. An opponent plays a card, then draws the high Rank. 2. You play BoteoF, so the cards are reset in the draw pile. 3. Play a VS card from your hand so you can draw the Rank. For that matter, if BoteoF is played from your hand, you should be the one to replace the rank as the card you draw right then. This is a variant on Whit's(?) suggestion to use BotEoF when a money pocket is hit.

Yeah - did we ever decide if that was legal? My family doesn't allow it whenever I try it...
(It wouldn't matter if you played a VS though - if you played BotEoF from your hand, you would need to draw anyways...)

Good question- when do people redraw for Very Specials? In our games, you wait until your turn to replace the card...
It makes a big difference in these situations (as you two so craftily point out!)

Unless you have a card that specifies otherwise (Calcite Conundrum), you should always have 5 cards in your hand. Playing a very special would require you to immediately draw a new card.

Would also be good against someone he draws and gets very excited about their new card
