Misdirection. Thats the key. Make them look one way while you look another. If you have two zodiacs that are different colors but share a common 'middle zodiac' that someone else has, tell the player who has it that you would like to gang up on another player and just pretend that you scan their area and say, "Oh, I'll just trade you for, your, ... um... just your one zodiac card, just so we can stick by the one-to-one trade rule." Most of the time they don't bother to look at what order they are in, they just look at colors. Once they fork over the zodiac, you're in two-card city probably for the rest of the game.

Very evil. Almost sounds like you play Munchkin too... Heh, I've seen the game in my local game shop, but have never tried it. It looks funny though!

Ah yes.. playing 'coy'... Comes in handy when I'm playing with folks over "sodas"... most of the time, though, when anyone draws a Zodiac everyone else is quick to point out what others you'd need to get the two cards per turn... I have used the 'coy-ploy' to get my own Zodiac (cancer) before... didn't end up being the last Zodiac - but OH IF IT HAD...

Yeh, the people that I play with assume that whatever deals I want to make, they must be benefitting me more than I'm letting on to, so they basically hire lawyers to read over the fine print! There's no way that I get away with this - plus as Jeffro points out, we pretty much pass around the zodiac card to see what others would be needed for a triplet.

I did it again last night playing an out-of-the-ordinary 5 person game. My cousin had no carrots half-way through the game so I told him that I would give him a carrot because I felt sorry for him, and told him just to give me his stupid bull-fish card. He took the bait and everyone wondered why I was playing two cards per turn from then on.

Well done there... referring to them as stupid and implying that you're really giving them the card for free and they just have to throw in "something"...
Sneaky...

That works well for a while...until people become aware that you are most likely making a trade to help yourself out...as opposed to being nice (this is KB after all)...people will very rarely trade w/ me anymore...'cause I'm sketchy I guess...even when I am trying to help someone out...gotta change my approach a bit I guess... *BB01*

Sketchy... good one BB01... I guess you have to balance it out with occaisionally doing something nice for someone with no expectation of a return. That'll throw them off and accomplishes the same "ARRGGHH" from opponents when they think they're hitting someone who's defenseless and you come to the rescue for no reason right out of left field. Really peeves off buddies of mine - more than launching weapons at their bunnies does, sometimes.... cuz it's thwarting their well laid plans (moo-AHH-ah-haha-haaaa!...) Devil with a halo....
