I recently started playin' KB with some friends of mine, but I'm so poor at it that I have yet to see the Magic Carrot shine down on me. I've been readin' the threads and find myself in the midst of bunny geniuses, so I was wonderin' if any of you out there have simple suggestions that would help me possibly get a little more respect from my friends when it comes to the KB. Otherwise I'll keep playin' and losin' cause I just launched the Ebola virus bein' the only player with bunnies down and I forgot what the card does. Oh yeah, did I mention I don't read so well . . . Thanks, Socotra

If you can never play a Chose a Carrot card unless you have a bunny to play in front of it (top run=bunny bottom run=CaC). This is not always an option but if u can it gives u that extra insurance that extra chance of being a carrot hore at the game table. Also find a player to sit by that is going to take the least beating (maybe cuz they never hav bunnies or they're a goodie too shoes or there a girl that crys when she is attacked) so you won't take so much splash damage.
another thing that is always on my mind (cuz i love it) is the mystery urn so I always buy the purple pawn so just in case it comes I get 2 shots at it.
The main thing is figure out the flow of the game it get your own style.

some strategies i use often... make sure you have a steady supply of defence water and cabbage cards just in case someone attacks you with a large weapon when you only have one bunny or a very good card in your top run. Also, don't forget about your saved special cards! I seem to forget about them all the time when they could have saved me from the ebola virus or other bad events. Finnally, in the group i play with, Zodiacs are a very powerful thing. In truth, zodiacs aren't as powerful as they seem. So if you can trade one or two off for a carrot or two, I'd do it right away

Extortion! If you're in a multi-player group, threaten to use a weapon card on the richest one, unless they hand over some goods (Dolla, pawns, carrots, whatever). Then you can blast a different player, and have some free goodies.

Just remember that no matter what, it's all about the carrots. In the first deal, work on throwing away stupid cards, don't bother throwing down your bunnies right away if you don't have anything good to use. Just try to think ahead of the other players. Oh, and it's very important to READ THE CARDS!

Oh, and it's very important to READ THE CARDS! Definitely, this seems to mess up my mom all the time... Also, if you get dealt a bunny at the beginning but you aren't going to play anything else good after that (i.e. you're only going to run through some specials to save) then just hold onto the bunny until you have something to play...less chance of a TM. As I read it again, it seems Jason is saying the same thing, but I'll leave my writing up anyways...

I have a friend that takes pride in the fact that he has never won. He enjoys the game so much that the carrots are kind of a side note for him. Sometimes he even trades carrots for fun cards just to use them in crazier combinations.
Have fun and eventually you'll "win"... and if you have fun, you ALWAYS win!...

I have some dirty tricks for new players or players that have not played against me yet. 1) Act like I want money for something like cabage/water/carrots or what ever. Trye to get the person with the most amount of carrots to spend most or all of their money. Then play the freshness card on them. 2) Play tought weapons near the end of the game or when you know you could end the game if you wanted. Play roaming red cards or cards with a big splash. Wipe out the bunnies of as many players as you can. When the moment is right, buy the last carrots or use choose carrot cards. This strategy usually works best when you can play two cards at once. 3) If you have a weapon that has a big splash and no matter what some of your bunnies are going to get hit, trade your bunnies to people who want more. Get money, special cards, or what ever. It is best to do this just before your turn. Then when all bunnies are traded, play something like the asteroid. Then no one has bunnies but you. 4) Another thing I like to do is when I have a feed the bunny played on me, I play things like the caseno where if I lose, I lose a bunny that needs a feeding. 5) I seen menioned many times in here that people buy all the water or close the market and then come out with an onslought of feed the bunnies. I usually attack the people with clovers first.
