Does anyone know why the Red booster for KB quest is like 3 times more expensive than any other? It's really frustrating... Is it out of print or something?

I'm not entirely sure if it's out of print, but it's definitely out of stock at Playroom's site. So it's a fair bet.

I hope it isn't out of print. Kinda hard to get people to buy your game when pretty much the first expansion pack that people have to buy is out of print or 3 times the price of the others......

Where are you shopping? I found Quest Red on Amazon (US) for $10.99 plus shipping (8 copies left as I write this).

I don't see the red quest on amazon for that price. I see the red conquest one for that price. Playrooms store on amazon even sells them for 30 bucks. You're right. I searched for "Killer bunnies red" on Amazon and didn't read carefully. Some Googling found these two retailers, both of whom claim they have them in stock (I don't know where you are geographically located, so these may or may not help): Finnegan's Toys and Games has it "in stock" for $13+shipping, although their shipping is very expensive. Have any friends or relatives in Portland, OR (US)? Great Board Games (Canada) has it ("in stock" according to their web site) for $9.95 (though that's probably Canadian Dollars), plus shipping. Amazon UK has it, but it is about $19+shipping (so I won't even bother linking).

I found this over on the Board Game Geek KB forum and it might shed some light on the problem: Thought I'd give a little insight to this topic. I manage a board game store and Killer Bunnies and the Quest.... is one of our better selling games. The last time we received a shipment of Red Boosters was about June. They promptly sold out, and since then it has never showed up as in stock or available from any distributors, including Playroom Entertainment itself. From what I can gather, things are really messed up internally with Playroom Entertainment. My boss told me that two people used to own and operate it, and one of them left. Since then, they've been struggling. The company has something aroudn 4 different phone numbers, and they're all disconnected. I think the later expansions are generally more available because they don't sell quite as well as the earlier ones, especially Red, being the first standalone expansion. There are other games from Playroom, like Unspeakable Words, that we cannot get anymore for the same mysterious reasons. I can't help but feel like Playroom is on the decline, and until its bought out by someone else who can run it more efficiently, we're stuck with no Red Boosters. Either that, or ceasing production on the Red Booster is just a way for them to get more backers for their Deluxe edition that comes with all expansions, including Red. I hope that's not the case... So yeah... I realize I didn't answer any questions, but that's just what I've gathered from the situation. Can anybody confirm this?

I've been trying to call Playroom Entertainment for some time to hear any news on the Red Booster pack. It goes directly to their voicemail. I have also tried to email them using the contact form on their website and send them an email, but no response. Unfortunately I might end up having to pay 90$ (+ 28% tax) on ebay to get my hands on the red booster . I lost my first set of Killer Bunnies Quest for... some time ago, but got a new starter set from my Girlfriend for Christmas. Isn't much fun if I'm stuck playing Blue and Yellow until the end of time .

Well, something is still happening at Playroom, so hopefully that will mean new Red Booster Packs at some point. I still can't get a hold of Playroom Entertainment, so no answer to my enquire yet. Violet Booster Pack is also sold out from the Playroom shop now.

I saw this on Playroom Entertainment.com today (Jan 1), with emphasis added: Might the Quest Red Booster finally be available soon, conveniently missing the Christmas shopping season?
