So I'm confused with the conch. Does it mean the player holding it can trade any thing he has for anything someone else has? Without the player having a say? For example if I had the conch can I trade 1 dolla for another players carrot. Or does he have to agree to the trade?

For example if I had the conch can I trade 1 dolla for another players carrot. Or does he have to agree to the trade? The rule for The Conch is: The Conch may be used once by a Player to silence all Opponents for two full rounds of play. Only the Player holding The Conch may speak and therefore make deals or exchanges of any kind with other players. So, first and foremost, The Conch silences all Opponents to the Player of The Conch. Secondly (and this is a minor point, since only the player whose turn it is, the Player, can make trades or deals anyway). The trading rule is "Trading may only occur during either of the players’ turns that are involved in the trade, and not while other players are taking their turns." The Opponent may negotiate (or not) a trade only non-verbally (no talking or making other sounds). Nodding, shaking one's head, using hand or finger gestures like thumbs-up or -down are all acceptable ways to non-verbally negotiate. The opponent could even flap their arms like a chicken if that conveyed meaning. But, to answer your question, in no way does The Conch imply that you can take things away or forcibly trade because the other person cannot talk or say "no."
