Why would anyone place more than one barrier side by side between the same two players?

In the event of a Roaming red being adjacent to a barrier, placing another barrier would trap the roaming card between them.
Also it allows for a reinforced barrier, just in case somebody destroys one of them.

I get the reinforced barrier, but I don't know how you'd trap one between them? Don't all roaming cards sit on top of bunnies before moving on? You can't separate bunnies with barriers, so how would this work?

Why would anyone place more than one barrier side by side between the same two players? Perhaps they fear The Magic Spatula will eliminate one of the barriers?

Also, if a RRR card is traveling it may hit a regular barrier or a neutronium barrier, determining if it keeps going the other way or discarded

Agreed on 'fear of destruction' being probably the primary reason.
Only other one I can add that wasn't brainstormed is if you ran the Barrier through but DON'T want to put the barrier somewhere else specifically (such as you don't want to put it on the other side of the opponent for whatever reason - perhaps you have a big nuke coming and you want it to hit that opponent and their adjacent opponent), but you also DON'T want to DISCARD it because you're fearful that someone else might use a card that grabs it from the discard pile (Retrieval) and place it somewhere disadvantageous for you.
While this may seem like a really farfetched situation, I have actually done this. Of course, it's up for debate whether a discarded card can be used with retrieval, but that's another thread.

@thedavii I know your post was from 2012, but TMS eliminates ALL barriers, so it wouldn't matter.

@thedavii I know your post was from 2012, but TMS eliminates ALL barriers, so it wouldn't matter. Which raises a different question. Was JB's intent to eliminate all barriers in The Bunny Circle at card play or are all barriers eligible to be eliminated and TMS eliminates one barrier (of any kind)? (Every other object eliminated by TMS is a singular, not a plural.) After all, there is a fixed amount of space on a card.
(This seems like something I should add to my list to ask JB.)
