I bought the Conquest Red Booster last week, but didn't open it until last night. In it, I found a promo card for Psychic Penguins, "Census Senses." Continuing with their Greek letter naming of promo series, it is a π (pi) series promo, π01. The rule is basically the same as "Cool Change" in Quest: "May be used once by a player to force any one opponent to discard and redraw his entire five-card hand if the player can guess the number of penguins in the opponent's hand."

Same here. Very exciting. Have you played Red yet? I really enjoy the senators element.

What sleeves do you use? Why do you sleeve them? Do you find it harder to shuffle and use them? I was thinking about doing this and would love to know the pros and cons.

Could you expand on this? What sleeves do you use? Why do you sleeve them? Do you find it harder to shuffle and use them? I was thinking about doing this and would love to know the pros and cons. We use BCW Deck Guards and buy them in boxes of 10 packs of 50 sleeves. Why? To keep them in good condition, to prevent food, dirty fingers, spilled beverages, and abrasion from damaging the cards. We shuffle them by dumping them on the table and having all players slide cards around (imagine 8 people with fingerpaints on a table and that's kind of what it is like). They're impossible to shuffle normally in the sleeves, but the cards also don't get bent that way. Pro: The cards remain clean and pristine. Cons: The cards in sleeves don't fit in most card boxes any more and you have to work harder to find things to store them in.

So what cards do you put in sleeves? Obviously all the playing cards, carrots, starter cards (shops, etc.). Do you do anything for defense, cabbage, water, etc.?
Also, how well do the draw and discard piles stack?

Also, how well do the draw and discard piles stack? We sleeve all of the cards, even the shops and small cards, but not the vouchers. The small cards' sleeves are cut in half to fit. We normally use multiple draw piles, but any one player is supposed to draw from only one of those piles (so that they cannot "pick" based on the card back).
