I just drew a Terrible Misfortune: Cosmic Calamity! One of your ships falls down an unseen gravity well. Oh well. Sacrifice any one ship in space.
On my previous turn I just lost my bunny on my ship. So now my ship is empty. Can I play this TM on that empty ship? What if I had another ship that wasn't empty? Would I have to play it on my working ship first? Or would I be able to play it on an empty ship? I assume that you'd have to destroy one of your working ships first, and then you could play it on an empty ship only if you didn't have any working ones in order.

EMPTY SHIPS
•If all of the bunnies on board a ship have been killed, then the ship is considered empty, and no player owns the ship. The first player to dock with an empty ship (using a ship of his own), may transfer a bunny on board and claim the ship.
Since no player owns the ship, you would not be able to play a Terrible Misfortune on it if you have another available ship.

So what you're saying is that you can't play it if you have a ship available, and you can't play it if an opponent has a ship available. But could you play it if no one has a ship available? Or can you simply not play TMs on empty ships and should discard the TM in that case?
