So, where is everyone? I just got the Killer Rabbits game, and just bought two booster boxes. I havnt even played it yet, but love the cards! I have each color in colored sleeves. Wow is that a lot of cards to play with and still a lot more boosters to buy. Which I plan to do soon. I even got the rules laminated.
Now looking for a nice storage solution for traveling too.
Anyone still play?

There's been kind of a lul around here lately, amazingly, since we usually get a boom of new people when a new booster comes out. Recently the Blue starter was rereleased and the Second Killer Bunnies adventure came out, so I don't know why it's been so quiet. I generally don't post unless there's something new to comment on or something happened in relation the the game... Lot's of people are still playing though... You should check out our Card idea set that has only three weeks left until judging is complete. Any MC.com member can judge, the thread is here... magiccarrot.proboards36.com/index.cgi?board=polls&action=display&thread=3429&page=1

I fear that our Official Magic Carrot Card Set contest has inadvertently caused a "lull" in the idea submissions. I'm speculating, of course, but perhaps people are waiting for the outcome of the contest.
I haven't finished judging myself, of course, so I've been spending time doing that rather than creating any artwork.

I am still here. I am in the process of judging the current entries. I would imagine that once they are done, things will pick up again.

yeah, this judging is taking forever... I've been thinking about it, and I know we set up a system here, but I was wondering if you're going to just go for straight score alone. I haven't given any card straight 5s, and I was thinking if a couple people give more than twenty cards all 5s, my votes won't even matter, had you thought of this or any way to counter it?
I have come up with a couple ideas for cards and started making them but am nowhere near completion...

I have considered that some folks might try to stack the deck (so to speak).
My statistics training tells me that unless there is some coordinated effort to "spoil" the contest, it won't likely make a significant difference because random people are unlikely to select the same (in your example) 20 cards. Certainly, there are very few people who have enough artwork posted (assuming they vote for their own) to make such a difference.
In my own voting so far, no card has rated straight 5's so far and I doubt they will since often a high score in one area will offset a medium score in another area.
If it should come to pass that somebody enters a large block of redundant information, I will contact them and ask them what their intent is. Hanging chads anyone?!

I will confess that after awhile if I could tell that a card wasn't going to make it above a four rating, which I already had at least twenty over 4, then I wouldn't bother rating it, and give it straight 3s. Sadly only four users were represented in my top thirty cards, mostly because the artwork and looking like a CTA card were slightly weighted more for me...

Did Jason allow his domain registration of MagicCarrot.com to expire today? I'm getting a "parking page" of useless vegetable links!! If we take the forum link "Back to MagicCarrot.com" we get a "Page Not Found" error. Did Jason's ISP pull his page, did the domain expire, or was it hijacked?

In any case, it is a problem since the Official Magic Carrot Card Set contest images for those cards were hosted at his web site and those images are no longer available! Those were two that I did not download for this very kind of contingency (since I thought the site would always be available). The images are not available at the Wayback Machine, the Google cache, nor Google Image Search either). Do you have copies of them? Does anybody? If so, I'd like to host them long enough to finish the contest. Can you PM me or email them to me? (email address is on my profile page.)

Hey gang. Sorry for being absent for a while. You probably didn't even notice, in which case, nevermind. Anyway I'm back. And I'd like to help out with rating cards and whatnot, if I'm still eligible ...
