We need a way to elect cards into the CHOF. I figured the best idea would be to let you all decide how to do it.
I was thinking either you have to get a certain number of votes to be elected, or maybe a certain percentage of yes/no votes over a certain period of time.
Nominate the card in the replies of the card, people will post their votes in the replies as well.
(And, if you can, try to add more than just a yes, try to give a reason or something.)

So if you like a card you just say something like I think this card shoud be in the HOF?

Yeah. You have to really like it though, this is the hall of fame, not the hall of very good.
Until we come to an agreement on how to select cards, the process will be fairly subjective for now; if I see enough enthusiasm, I'll elect it to the Hall.

Well Maybe Crtieria could be somewhere along the lines of Picture Idea(like title and allusion) Usefellness Playabilty(Easy to play, not a whole lot of area for confusion)

Maybe if you have a top ten in here, you could post whatever top 10 we agree on and then bump some out as newer, better cards get picked. As for ratings, maybe start a separate board where you post 5 cards a week, and let people pick their favorite of the five. Sort of an elimination process. Might take a bit of time, but we'll eventually get there. Also, you can do 10 cards/week or 5 card/3 days kinda thing to speed it up.

I disagree with bumping out other ideas. The hall of fame should accept new ideas, just at a much slower pace than card ideas. If the hall of fame ever reaches 55 cards (One standard KB deck), then I'd agree with limiting it at that point.

We should maybe dedicate a thread to picking our favs (ala Jeffro's thread) and tally the most frequent. Then those tallied make the HOF.

Word up, Hare... if there's a sub-selection process, then it can get weeded down. It would also serve to show that someone actually went through the NUMEROUS card ideas in this forum - as opposed to just nominating their own ideas or working willy nilly. This section is a good idea, but it shouldn't be that easy to get here. Maybe it needs: Picture idea. Type of card. Description of card. Rule clarification. 5 positive 'nods' from different members. No more than three consensus knocks against it for reasons pointed out that go against the integrity of the game.

(I just noticed the googley-eyes on your bunny seaman... that's excellent, ty...)
BACK TO BUSINESS!
Sure - people thinking a card is too powerful would be a "knock" per say... as would no good picture idea, or a dumb name and no better suggestions.

Well if we go with the Jeffro way, how many cards should each person suggest?

I don't think this is something you can do by using defined criteria. I think the process has to be more subjective than that.

I think needing a certain number of people's approval (call it a popularity contest, if you will) is subjective enough... it only takes people's opinions into account and people's opinions tend to be rather subjective, no? Whether we make it three 'yays' or five, or ten... that's what I think we should agree on. Having a loose nomination process in each card idea thread would serve to record the votes of whomever says 'yay' and the number. Having an idea needing, say... 5 votes to get in the hall of fame would make sure that the idea has merit with others - and it would keep the CHOF from getting as cluttered as the card idea thread. To answer RK's question - a person has unlimited votes... but can only vote once for each card (duh). So if you have, say 5 friends that hold your same opinion, you could dominate the CHOF! (which is why we should decide on a number...) If anyone has objections to the CHOF, they can make their own list in the idea thread like I did!... I don't expect everyone to share my opinions (even though - subjectively and objectively - my opinions are gospel in some regions )

All Hail Jeffro! (Hail No!) I'm wondering if the cards in this subsection are whit's favs or true HOF cards (or both)...... I have not had a chance to look through all 29 pages but I will come up with some of my favs soon.

Maybe everyone could make their own top ten/twenty list. If a card appears on 3, maybe 5, people's lists it goes into the HoF.... People could update their list maybe every 3, 6, or 12 months to give newer card ideas a chance to make it into the HoF.
