...makes me wonder when I'll get my replacement components. The form letter from Playroom made it sound like I'd get those prior to the game going on sale. Today I received the replacement from Playroom. They shipped a full copy of the game (plus promos). So, I now have two copies of J2J I had one waiting on my front door step last night as well. They greatly improved the packaging. There was a cardboard insert holding the board in place and the flimsy cardboard insert to hold the decks has been replaced with a plastic tray with compartments for the cards and the KB logo pressed into it.

Wow two with promos... That is amazing... At least they take care of the fans. Most companies would not send a total replacement. I agree they take care of the fans. Additionally, though, it may have been a lot less labor to figure out who needed what components vs just sending out a replacement. (Plus fsd commented that the inner box dunnage was different, jsut sending that alone would have been a pain in the butt....they'd have to package the packaging....)

I'm sure this was the lesser of two evils. Having to try and figure out who needed what would have been a very labor intensive task. Personally, the game I received only really needed a new board as it was cut thru the backing in several areas. Every other component was fine. I almost feel guilty about selling my first set to someone in dire need of the game now that I get a minty fresh one for free... but considering the production differences, I guess I can console myself knowing that they got a Limited Print run version of the game since the internal packaging changed.

...I got my new one in the mail yesterday, including a letter stating that they just sent out new copies to everyone since they had no way to track who needed what.....
I notice for the ship markers, they solved the off-center issue by removing the black halo altogether, instead going for a more solid color look. (It's hard to describe without pics, but those who have both copies can compare.
I love the plastic tray, I've been worried the cardboard one scrapes the cards.
I have yet to open the card decks themselves, but I did notice: 1. My NEW set is missing the green die 2. My NEW Omega 1 card still has the zigzag top edge from getting caught in the cellophane sealer. In both cases I'm not looking for handouts, since between both sets, I have one complete set, which is what I actually paid for. Anyone else have new issues?

just an FYI.
I got a second J2J set. The board was split in two. Several cards cut crocked. Two cards already seperating and the hit counters are off cut. But i do like the card tray...

just an FYI. I got a second J2J set. ... Is this the only one you bought from Playroom? ...maybe the first one you ordered finally showed up. Seriously though, that sucks . Maybe you could bring both to UCON, and at the end of the event, pull a switcheroo and tell UCON that unruly folks tore your board. You have cards separating? I had an FTB that 'chipped' after the first game from my first set. The chip was about 1/4" diameter off the back of the card. The exposed paper reminded me of a kleenex that accidentally goes through the wash.

Not to poo poo the J2J game but the quality of the sets does get a minus. I now have 3 boxes. Every one has had defects. Good news. I was able to make a full nice set with the three....

I finally got mine... funny thing it arrived Wednesday but didn't get processed until sometime that night after the post office closed so I didn't get to introduce it to gaming friends of ours on TG( ::)Figures... I knew that was going to happen)... but with regular KB in hand we had a quite lengthy game... They didn't leave our house until about 1-2 am after quite a few hours of play. I gave me uncopened copy to the 13 year old son and some Omega's that I had either bought on ebay or still had left over from demos.
We just picked up J2J today I have opened the box but haven't really disected it yet to check for quality, I do like that they have multiple spaces in the plastic filler so that perhaps we will be able to put all the cards and the rest of the boosters in the original box with little trouble, because otherwise, d**n it would be hard to find a containment box big enough for this game.
My favorite Teehee moment of the game was the fact that I "Go with the Flo"ed the son later in the game. He had the most carrots. But FLO(and I) WON!!
