Can I abduct another player's bunny with "Area 51" and then subsequently retrieve it for myself with "Bunnies in Black?" Yes, you can do that. It's even funnier to do this with Mothership.

Only once have I seen more than one area 51 card come up and actually get used. Maybe it's just the people I've played with, but I was thinking about doing that to myself next time I play. Most of the people I play with are first or second timers as I am on a mission to teach the world the quintessential art of KB. So most of them don't know how to use area 51 anyway. And if they can't read and are too chicken to ask, well, I guess it's like playing poker at the casino.

I tend to abduct my own later in the game otherwise too many things can happen to it and I hate abducting my own and someone else touching it. However I do love to convince people they should abduct mine when trying to choose....he he he

Do any of you ever abduct your own bunny? When your outgunned and outnumbered it's a good strategy to abduct yourself. Because you can still play Choose-a-Carrot cards while your only bunny is in space. Then just concentrate on getting carrots, money and cards like Supplies Surprise that can be played without a bunny down. With a large group of players, any bunny placed down has a low chance of surviving when everyone gets done playing. You can't play choose a carrot when your only bunny is abducted. from Bunny Bits: A player with an abducted bunny and no other bunny in The Bunny Circle may not play any cards with a Pink rectangular box on the left border of the card (including Choose A Carrot cards).

You can't play choose a carrot when your only bunny is abducted. Good call unknownman! If a game has been going badly for me, I will sometimes abduct my own bunny to insure that I'm eligible to win. I understand that I can't use Choose A Carrot cards but I still buy them if I have the money.

Jason wrote that before Version Epsilon 3 of the blue/yellow bunny bits came out. It was unclear in the Epsilon 2 version whether or not you could use a choose-a-carrot card if your only bunny was in space. Now, we know that it can't be done.

Well, had he played "Bunny to the Future", then he would have been aware of the then upcoming Epsilon 3 rule clarification. He sure dropped the ball on that one. tsk tsk...

I abduct as early as possib;e and then ignore the fact that it's gone and put out more bunnies knowing I have a bunny at the end

As I'm currently sitting on just blue/yellow, if I have an Area 51 card, I try to make sure to abduct my own bunny with the third one played. Card counting can be useful at times!
