Hello all,
I am a graphic artist by trade and I wanted to offer the template I work with. its a basic PSD (photoshop file with layers)
each layer has all the necessary graphics to create hundreds if not 1000's of combinations. and with a little copy/paste magic you can continue to create new cards.
here are a few I did for ArtsCow. the PSD contains all the graphics necessary to reproduce my work or just do your own. I did take from others ideas here on this thread but since this is only for my use (the cards themselves) I don't think I have to worry about copyright issues, an ideas and idea right. anyways Im not making money from this. I just enjoy this game to the fullest.
now on to the graphic file itself. it has several layers each with a different identifier.
BACK <color> Different background colors/shades - only one of these should be active TITLEBOX <color> Different color Titleboxes CLIPART <#> Main pictures, icons, bunnies, etc PICTUREBOX <color> Color backgrounds for clipart EDITBOX <color> Different color textboxes for main text ::DICE <color> the different colored dice ::ATTACKBAR - turn on or off the pink box ::TITLE: - the different titles Run, Play Immediately, Special, Very Special ::CIRCLE: - Color circle Red for Run, Blue for Special, etc
by selecting 1 of each of the twenty or so variations on colors, backgrounds, titleboxes, editboxes and cliparts you can get away with some pretty convincing cards. take a look for yourself what I did recently using only this template:
www.artscow.com/gallery/playing-cards/killer-bunnies-zhpyux78a9lc
now my question is, how or where should I upload this for people to access? the template is 26MB since it has a *lot* of different images embedded.
oh and by the way Hi everyone, been a longtime guest lurker...wanted to give something back to the community

This sounds like something ideal to host on MagicCarrot.com's Art Library. Send a PM to me on this message board or send an email to me (address in my profile listing) and we'll work something out. Google Drive supports attachments up to 10 GB, for example. I can grab it from there and upload it to MagicCarrot.com.

Ok I sent you a link to my own personal server hosting. I also included the 53 cards I did in case you wanted them yourself for whatever reason...I mean you *cant* have enough killer bunny cards...can you?? Thank you so much for your fast reply, and if that doesn't work, maybe I can join mediafire or whatever and host it there. Thanks again TheDavii!

I realize that I'm quite behind the times, but me and a friend came up with some card ideas, so I thought "why not give it a try. In doing research, I came across your template, but am having some problems with it. If I download it on my computer, I get an error message (something to the effect that it's an invalid file). If I download on my phone, it will open, but I can't seem to use any of the layers. It is a bit over 55MB when downloaded. Am I missing something or is there a problem with the file. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, no worries about the questions.
so the file itself is a PSD file, (Photoshop) so Im not sure what program you would be trying to open it with, but the standard windows graphic programs wont cut it, you would need at least...
gimp photoshop paint shop pro
gimp is free and may be a good solution for you.
let me know if that's the issue.

Ok. Re-downloaded the file. File size is 55.5 MB. Try to open in photoshop cc 2015 and get "could not complete your request because the file is not compatible with this version of photoshop". Downloaded the current version of gimp (v. 2.8.20) and it shows a file size of 58.3 MB for the file. I try to open it and get "error loading psd file: unexpected end of file". I was able to get the open image window to generate a preview image though.

I downloaded gimp and installed. it opened just fine for me. you are somehow not getting the full download. My guess is you have a virus scanner or a firewall blocking downloads or something.
try downloading again, or from another internet location if you can. I don't know how to help you since I haven't had any issues with the file on several applications now.
let me know if you get it to work, I maybe can send the file directly to an email you provide if that's easier.

OK, so I re-downloaded the file using both of my web browsers. I managed this time to get copies that work in both gimp and photoshop. Couldn't figure out how to work the layers in gimp, but with a little fiddling, I got it in photoshop. I admit I wad a tad disappointed that there wasn't anything for the p-cards, but I suppose that would be a bit more difficult. I may fiddle with gimp some more later and see if I can figure the layers out in that program as well. Thanks for all the help.

The posted file was unchanged from what was provided to me by lordofworms; however, if you need it converted to something else, I can probably do that.

If you want a couple of different P-Card layers, I can probably create those for you and just email the single files to you.

That would be cool if you would do that. I don't know if you can send them attached to a message here, or if you would need my actual email address. I'll see if I can figure out how to send a private message and send my email through that.
